Mission Statement
American PACT is a nonpartisan, nationwide citizen movement united under a single purpose: to strengthen accountability and representative government through a constitutional amendment establishing term limits for Congress.
Elected office should be public service, not a permanent profession. We believe lasting reform begins with citizens taking responsibility for the institutions that represent them.
Our approach is grounded in local trust. Communities identify and nominate people they know and trust, judged by character, judgment, and integrity, not party backing or national funding — and those nominees move upward through a process built on that trust, not top-down control.
American PACT is not a political party, and we do not direct how our supported candidates vote or govern. Beyond a shared commitment to establishing congressional term limits, we do not require agreement on ideology, religion, party affiliation, or policy positions. Those we support remain free to represent their constituents and govern according to their own judgment and conscience.
Our mission is singular and measurable: to establish congressional term limits through constitutional reform. Once that objective is achieved, our founding mission is complete.
Our Vision
"A government of genuine citizen-servants — where public office is a temporary duty, not a lifetime career — and where every American community has a voice in choosing who represents them."
Our Core Values
Nonpartisan
Term limits transcend party lines. We welcome citizens of every political background who believe in citizen-led government.
Citizen-Led
Ordinary people — not political professionals — are best positioned to represent their communities with integrity.
Transparent
We are accountable to our supporters in everything we do — from our finances to our decision-making.
Local First
Real change starts in neighborhoods and precincts. We build from the ground up, one community at a time.
Temporary Service
Serve briefly, legislate responsibly, and return to private life. Public office is a duty — not a career.
